richard von saal is a good friend and a talented artist. he is the kind of guy that really can be described as a renaissance man….i know that sounds unbelievably trite..but consider this…in his lifetime; richard has been a successful restaurant owner/chef, a hairdresser(very in demand here in napa), the owner of a gourmet wine vinegar company, a furniture designer and an interior designer for home and commercial properties…he describes his furniture and interior design projects as “reclaimed furnishings and salvaged reworked pieces that are transformed into functional art”.
